Decreasing non-compulsory PICC related requests by 72% over an 8-month period by providing a hospital-wide training program.

Providing patient assessment which enabled PICC related activities to re-focus on patients in crisis and/or with added complexities.

TEAM COLLABORATION

The successfulness of our efforts in rolling out the PICC Line program did not go unnoticed. Our team and the growth and success of our program was published by the Canadian Vascular Access Association and The British Journal of Nursing.
